Contingency

In these pieces, the fluidity of the sand recalls the malleability of the clay before it is fired.
Something as transitory as an accidentally grazed sleeve or a breath of air defines the exact
shape of each piece.

The dissipating sand blurs the distinction between inside and outside space, exploring issues
of containment and emptiness.

Some of these pieces were exhibit at the Rothschild Prize Exhibition 2003 at Beit Kahana in Ramat Gan.

Maximum diameter 63 cm (25"), maximum height 30 cm (12").
